Friday Triples

A big THANK YOU to Ben for organising the Friday Triples.

This event should be an enjoyable low key pleasure, even if there is a trophy at the end of it.
I’m really glad that there have been a goodly number of people signing up this year, so that there can be 2 games every Friday.  You now have over 2 weeks to get your teams organised, before the opening games.  Good luck!  And thanks again.

For team details and dates see members page.

The Men’s Top Team beat Callington last night in an exciting match and are through to the
final of this competition.. We won by 3 matches to 2 with everything hanging on the final
rinks match which we finally won 23-13 after being stuck on 20 for about 8 ends.
Well done to Badger who won his 2 wood singles-again, to a new partnership of Tim and
Mike who won their pairs and to Rob’s rink of Brian, Chris and Joe.
We are still waiting to hear who are opponents will be in the final and which green we will
be playing on but hope to have support from other club members. Thanks to those who
supported us at Liskeard last night.

The men’s team are through to the semi-final of Top Team and will be playing

spectator viewing and an excellent green. All we require is some good weather.

Benevolent Pairs

Badger & Ian Burnard have successfully won through to the Group Semi final of The Benevolent Pairs after a nail biting final end it was standing at 19 – 17 to the opposition but with Ian bowling his last wood he perfectly removed their nearest wood thus picking up 3 winning shots
