News Update

NEWS UPDATE  5th MAY      FRIENDLY MATCHES

Saturday 4th May was our first friendly of the season against Heavy Transport. On a sunny day and a fast green for so early in the season we lost by 4 rinks to 1. Well done to Janet, Chris S and Chris D for securing the win.

Two of our new members Mary and Morley played in the match and it is a real opportunity for those members who have not played in regular league matches to gain that valuable experience in a great atmosphere. It is also an opportunity for those experienced players to fine tune their game and pass on that valuable match experience. Matches are usually played on a weekend afternoon throughout the season.

Put your name down on the board in the club house if you want to be considered for the teams. Fee does a great job in picking the teams, organising us on the day and also nominating a captain of the day.

Completion of exterior of new changing room.

After an intense 7 day period the new changing shed is up and ready for the internal fitting out. After many volunteers had cleared the shrubs, levelled the ground and dug the holes for the foundations work could begin. Great thanks to Dave and Rob for their hard work to complete the building. Wait till you see the photos of the inside with benches and internal boarding fitted ready for floor laying and varnishing of boarding.
