For those who have not seen the green since last September work
has continued throughout the last 6 months with the aim of
producing a good playing surface for all members to play on.
We re-seeded the green in October and have this year used basically
organic fertilisers and soil conditioners and a different timetable to
get us to this stage where we are now at 6.00mm in readiness for our
Open Day. Thanks go to Charles and Adrian for all the unseen hard
work and to Badger for looking after the gardens surrounding the
green.
We hope that you enjoy the coming season and the green bowls and
looks well throughout. Those interested in the up keep of the green
would be most welcome to join the small team.
