On Sunday 18th August we held our Annual Charity Triples Day with all money
raised going to Cornwall Hospice Care. Eighteen teams had signed up from
many local clubs as well as some of Lostwithiel. Many thanks to all players, all
club members who provided food, services and raffle prizes, to local traders
who supported the event and former players and friends who helped in so
many ways.
The real beneficiary will be Cornwall Hospice Care when we hand over the
£1,250.00 on our final day of the season on 14 th September.
The photographs show Alan Pearce, a former member of the club who had
been involved in the organisation of the event for many years, presenting the
winners and runners up prizes to a team from Imerys and Wadebridge
respectively. Congratulations to Terry Kellow and his team from Imerys who
wins the trophy again and to Peter Keat, a former member of Lostwithiel and
also a past winner for bringing his team from Wadebridge.
