Bowling Green Opens for existing members under Restricted Conditions in line with instructions from Central Government and Bowls England.
The specific instructions below, to be followed for practice and roll-ups, were issued to all members on 23rd May.

The green will be open every day from Sunday 24th May until further notice for all present members to be able to have a 2 hour roll up session.

SESSIONS will be:

10.00-12.00, 12.30-2.30, 3.00-5.00, 5.30-7.30 apart from

Monday & Thursday when sessions will start at 12.30 and 3.00 respectively due to green and ground maintenance

PLAY ARRANGEMENTS
Physical distancing of at least 2 metres must be maintained at all times, apart from between family members.
Only play on alternate rinks, eg 1,3,5 or 2,4,6, ie an empty rink must be kept between those being played on.
Maximum of 6 players on club premises at any one time – unless from the same household.
No visitors/spectators to be admitted to the club.

PLAYING FORMATS
Individuals practising on a single rink.
Two individuals from different households playing on a single rink.
Members from the same household on a single rink.

CLUBHOUSE AND FACILITIES
Until further notice the clubhouse will be closed apart from the use of the disabled toilet and hand washing facilities. All other sheds/ rooms to remain
locked (Supplies for the toilet and the cleaning thereof will be undertaken by Penny and Ben for the first two weeks.

Thereafter, a rota will be drawn up from those who play).
Sanitiser will be available for cleaning hands, and equipment (limited to 6 mats, 3 white and 3 yellow jacks stored in the old mat store at the back of the
club house – to avoid sharing) before and after playing. Hand sprayers will be located just inside the clubhouse and in the mat store (Please will players
tell Ben if supplies are running low – 01726 337602, leave a message).
No rubbish bins – players must take any rubbish home with them.

EQUIPMENT
To minimise risk of infection, only essential items should be used during any
session
 Mats – old mat store
 Bowls – bring your own
 Jacks – old mat store
 Rink markers – on the rinks available (do not move)
 Gloves – ‘rubber/plastic’ gloves must be worn for disinfecting
equipment – players to bring their own
 Bowling lifter for personal use only – bring your own
NB No other equipment to be used eg measures, chalk, pushers,
scoreboards, 2m distance sticks, but of course you can use your own hand sanitiser if you want.

PLAYERS
Dress appropriately before you get to the club, and change shoes just before and straight after your session.
Travel to the green on your own or with household members.
Avoid using toilets at the club where possible.
Sanitise hands and equipment both before and after you play
Take any food or drink with you – the kitchen is closed!
Maintain the 2m physical distance at all times, unless with household members.
Only one player should handle the mat during the session.
When you finish playing, change your shoes and leave the club immediately, ensuring that you have sanitised and replaced all the equipment that you have
used and that the club is secure.

IMPORTANT
Your health and safety is paramount. If at any stage you have concerns, we would ask to try and solve the matter straight away with the other member
present on the green. If the matter is not resolved, do not hesitate to contact our Safeguarding Officer, Annie Singer, on 01208 871272. However, you are
responsible for your own safety & health.
